Jerry Thomas Bratcher, age 80, of Mount Sherman, was born December 31, 1943, and departed this life on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Jerry made a profession in faith, he was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, a retired mechanic from Tom Brown Construction. He loved to work in his shop and on the farm.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rita Slayton Bratcher; his parents, Rudolph “Red” Bratcher and Lydia Kelly, as well as an unborn child;
his step-father, Leslie Kelly; his step-mother, Winnie Warren Bratcher; a step-sister, June Woosley and a step-brother, Pete Taylor.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle (Greg) Miller, Keisha (Eddie) Thompson, all of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Shelby Underwood of Campbellsville, Savannah (Chandler) Wisdom of Columbia and Mason Thompson of Hodgenville; two step-sisters, Wanda Kelly and Brenda Kelly both of Leitchfield.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, Bro. Troy Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Jerry’s pallbearers will be, Clarence Riggs, Eddie Thompson, Greg Miller, Tyler Riggs, Chandler Wisdom and Mason Thompson.
