Janet Meredith

Janet Elaine Skaggs Meredith, peacefully went to be with the Lord on her 62nd birthday, December 13, 2023, at Hosparus House in Bowling Green.

She was saved at Friendship No. 1 Baptist Church in Hart County where she was a former member, formerly attended Antioch Baptist Church and Munfordville Separate Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Pikeview Baptist Church where she was recently rebaptized. Janet loved playing Bluegrass music, having gotten to play with Bill Monroe at the Lincoln Jamboree and loved to draw.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Leighlan Thomas “Tom” Skaggs, Jr.; an infant sister, Rita Gayle Skaggs and many aunts and uncles.

Janet is survived by her son, Bryan (Madalyn) Meredith of Bee Spring, her mother, Alma Hazel Kessler Skaggs of Pikeview and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Sunday, December 17, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Terry Day officiating.  Burial will follow in Pikeview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. (ET), Saturday and after 10 a.m. (ET) Sunday at the funeral home.
