James Edward “Jim” Hack, age 78, of Hodgenville, formerly of Hardin County, passed away, Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Carl Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center surrounded by his family.
He was an Army veteran serving two tours in Vietnam, a former employee of Superior Cable in Elizabethtown and Dart Container of Horse Cave, a member of the Shriners and he spent much time volunteering at Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristi Ard; his parents, Finis and Pauline Davis Hack and a brother, Bobby Hack.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Logsdon Hack; a son, Jamie Hack of Hodgenville; a daughter, Alana (Dale) Hunter of Magnolia; a son-in-law, Ricky Ard of Hodgenville; eight grandchildren, Lauren (Bradlie) Neal, Kyle (Lauren) Woosley, Kaitlin Hack, Daniel Ard, Jacob Hunter, Caleb Hack, Caden Hack and Kinzleigh Hack; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Amelia Neal; a brother, Tom Hack of Cecilia; a sister, Carol Weeks of Virginia and a sister-in-law, Jackie Hack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (ET) Friday, May 24, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1701 North Pleasant Hill Road, Upton, KY. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. (ET) Thursday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and after 12 noon Friday at the church.
