James Edward Crim Sr. age 77, of Rineyville, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his residence.
He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam era, a retired custodian for LaRue County Schools System, he traveled the country working construction and was a Kentucky Colonel.
James was preceded in death by his first wife, Antonia “Toni” Zamora Crim and his parents Buck and Stella Sparks Crim.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Meredith Crim; four sons, James (Lisa) Crim of Buffalo, Johnny Crim of Hodgenville, Robbie (Mary Ann) Crim and Ronnie (Monica) Crim all of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren, Travis (Cynthia) Crim, Cassidy (Caleb) Cobb, Gabriel Crim, Savanna Crim, Cody Crim, Hope (Jared) Anderson and Hannah Crim; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Debbie (Greg) Runner of Morehead; two step-daughters, Stephanie (Colen) Casey of Rineyville and Julie (Troy) Percefull of Munfordville; two step-grandchildren, Jenna Meredith and Dalton Casey.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. DeWayne Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
