James Caudill

James Caudill, age 81, of Campbellsville, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

A devoted husband, he loved his grandchildren, was an Air Force veteran, a World War 2 buff and historian, enjoyed mechanical projects and retired from Gates after 38 years of service.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nellie May Caudill and a brother, Richard Caudill.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Owen Caudill; a daughter, Tamara (Stephen) Caudill-Boutin of Louisville; a son, Shaun (Dana) Caudill of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Caleb Caudill and Shiloh Caudill and three sisters, Loretta (Howard) Moffett of Lexington and Sandy Caudill and Teresa Caudill, both of Thelma.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 11 at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Shaun Caudill officiating.  Pallbearers will be Ben Owen, Darin Owen, Ethan Kidd, Eli Kidd, Evan Kidd, Eric Kidd, Caleb Caudill and Shiloh Caudill.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
