Hugh Lee Wood

Hugh Lee Wood, age 65, of Magnolia, Kentucky, a native of Belleville, Michigan passed away January 12, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville with his wife and brother at his bedside.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Maynard and Sarah Francis Dawson Wood.

He is survived by his:

Wife:  Martha Lou Branstetter Murphy Wood of Magnolia

Brother:  David (Teresa) Wood of Brownstown Township, Michigan

Sister:  Lisa (Marty) Papizan of Collinsville, Mississippi

Brother-in-Law:  Michael David Branstetter of Magnolia

Nieces:  Hillary Wood, Heather Papizan, Tara (Neil) Jalandoni, Melissa (Jim) Allsbrooks

Nephews:  Joshua Wood and Troy (Sheri) Scott

Great Nieces:  Hadley Wood, Amber Jalandoni and Rebecca Allsbrooks

Great Nephews:  Zachary Jalandoni and Austin Allsbrooks

Hugh will be sadly missed by all his loved ones, family and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (EST) Sunday, January 21, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Elder Rueal Boils, Elder Jimmy Sharp, Elder Ronnie Gowen and Brother Chuck Purlee officiating.  Burial in the Aetna Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. (EST) and Sunday after 10 a.m. (EST) at the funeral home.

Family request NO flowers and NO perfume please due to allergies.
