Hugh C. Carter, age 79 years, of Radcliff, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was retired from Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown after 33 years of service and attended First Baptist Church of Hodgenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Price Carter; his parents, Sidney L. and Lura Ethel Atwell Carter; two sisters, Betty Page and Janet Edwards and a brother, Jerry Peace.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Anthony) Carter of Radcliff; a son, Richard Carter of Radcliff; five grandchildren, Courtney, Kayla and Tambra Fitts and Niccole and Kevin Carter; a great-granddaughter, Ivy Carter; a sister, Shirley (Mitchell) Warren of Shepherdsville and five brothers, Tommy (Jonie) Carter, James (Nancy) Carter, Freddy Carter and Robert Peace all of Hodgenville and James (Darlene) Peace, Jr. of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dr. Paul Richey officiating. Burial will follow in the Highview Cemetery in Marion County.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
