Harlis Lafollette, age 90, of Hodgenville, passed away, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville
He was a member of Barren Run Baptist Church near Sonora; an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict; served 8 years in the Kentucky Army National Guard and was a retired truck driver.
Harlis was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie West Lafollette; a daughter, Wanda Jane Dever; his parents, Bill and Martha Lorena Kennedy Lafollette; a sister, Beulah Jackson and four brothers, George, Boyd, Elmo and Devon Lafollette.
He is survived by six children, Charlie (Vicki) Lafollette of Buffalo, Brenda (Dennis Wease) Ford of Mt. Sherman, Wilma Gribble of Hodgenville, Dennis (Paula) Lafollette and David (Sandra) Lafollette, all of Elizabethtown and Michael (Melinda) Lafollette of Hodgenville; a brother, Quincy (Betty) Lafollette of New Haven; 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Ronnie Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Barren Run Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
