Grover Close Obituary

Grover Lane Close, age 90, of Magnolia, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Minnie Close; three sisters, Letha, Hallie and Hazel and a grandson-in-law, John Butts.

Survivors include the “beautiful love of his life”, his wife, Frances Close; three daughters, Evelyn (Tom ) Chynoweth of Louisville, Donna (Tony) Koenig of Florida and Joann (Jimmie Johnson) Close of Louisville; two granddaughters, Marilyn Butts and Teri Lane (Marcus) Pinson; two great-grandchildren, Marcus Lee Pinson and Lucy Pinson; a niece and two nephews.

Private burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with a public memorial service at a later date.
