Gilda Benningfield Hatcher

Gilda Benningfield Hatcher, age 72, departed this life Monday, November 17, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin.

She was a retired respiratory therapist. She cared for her patients and was a lover of animals, especially dogs and horses. Gilda was known to make sure all pets were over fed. In retirement she enjoyed having a doggy daycare. She was a Christian by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Louise Allen Benningfield; a sister, Regena Cox; two brothers-in-law, Rob Foster and Kenny Cox.

Gilda is survived by a daughter, Chellie (Bryan) LaFollette; a grandson, Gabe LaFollette; a sister, Rheta Foster; a brother, Gary Benningfield; two nephews, Greg Shipp and Robbie (Caren) Foster; two great nephews, a great niece, a special friend, Mickey Tedder and her two doggies, Tibby and Thelma Lou.

Gilda was cremated and no services are schedule at this time.
