Gertrude Jones Obituary

Gertrude Peace Jones, age 97, of LaGrange, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hodgenville where she sang in the choir for many years and was a WWII veteran, serving in the WAVES for the US Navy.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Harp Jones; a son, John Franklin Jones; her parents, James Franklin and Alma Cruse Peace; two sisters, Ruby Druen and Alice Druen and a brother, Jim Peace.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Jones of Hawaii and two grandchildren, Davis Smith and Leah Marie Jones.

Cremation was chosen and the family will have a private graveside service at a later date at Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
