Gary L. Cooper, age 72, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Signature Health Care in Elizabethtown.
He was an Army Veteran, retired civil service at Ft. Knox and a member of Friendship No. 2 Baptist Church.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rucker Cooper; his parents, Allen Jewell and Thelma Louise Brown Cooper; two sisters, Debbie DeSpain and Patricia Byrd and two brothers, Carl and Roger Cooper.
He is survived by three sons, Jason (Gayle) Cooper, Jeremy (Karen) Cooper all of Hodgenville and Cory (Jessie) Cooper of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Zachary, Chase and Dalton; three sisters, Jean (Ronnie) French, Shirley (David) Boyd and Kathy Cooper all of Hodgenville; four brothers, William (Elaine) Cooper, Jim Cooper, Dave (Peggy) Cooper all of Hodgenville and Jerry Cooper of Bardstown.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. Stewart Skaggs officiating. Gary’s burial will follow alongside his wife in Friendship No.2 Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
