Garnett Lane Shoffner, 79, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, a retired self-employed carpenter, a Kentucky Colonel and a former honorary member of the VFW in Hodgenville.
Garnett was preceded in death by a son, Roger; his parents, Chester and Amy DeSpain Shoffner and five brothers, Lawrence, Micky, Ruel, Coy and Thomas Shoffner.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kennedy Shoffner; four daughters, Treisa (Dave) Monday of Washington, Shelia Ford of Buffalo, Robin Shoffner and Laticia (Michael) Baker, all of Elizabethtown; three sons, Garnett Dale (Deborah) Shoffner of Elizabethtown, Eddie Shoffner of Magnolia and Cody Shoffner of Sonora; two sisters, Betty (Jim) McGarry of Arizona and Faye Bray of Burkesville; three brothers, Ronnie (Norma) Shoffner and Denny (Marilyn) Shoffner, all of Buffalo and Larry (Emma) Shoffner of Mount Sherman; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Saturday, February 20, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, Rev. Tim Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at the funeral home.
