Freddy Ray Hoagland, age 86, of Campbellsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021, at his home.
He was a hardworking carpenter and farmer and provided well for his family. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
Freddy was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Iris Formhals Hoagland; four brothers, Jimmy, Billy, Carlos and Johnny Hoagland; a grandson, Roy Jeffries and his precious puppy, Taz.
He is survived by three children, Perry (Lindy) Hoagland of Wickerville, Mary Beth Hoagland of Danville and Margaret (Charles) Brown of Buffalo; a sister, Patty Bratcher of Panama City Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Tonya (Jordan) Stapp of Campbellsville and DeAnna (Speedy) Murrell of Upton; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney Jeffries of Sonora, Jarrod Murrell of Eastview, Wayne Murrell of Bonnieville, Bonnie Johnson of Elizabethtown, Anthony (JR) Johnson of Upton and Ava and Lilly Stapp, both of Campbellsville; four great-great-grandchildren, Enzo Sumers of Elizabethtown and Jonathan, Chloe and Carter Jeffries, all of Sonora; a special sister-in-law, Norma Hoagland of Lebanon Junction and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Jordon Stapp officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
