Franklin D Turner

Franklin D. Turner, age 86, of the Pikeview Community, was born on July 1, 1936 and passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at his residence.

He was a member of Pikeview Baptist Church; worked for 31 years at LG&E, served as Magistrate for the 4th District of Hart County for 25 years and was a lifelong farmer.

Franklin was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Lynn Turner; his parents Layton and Edna Highbaugh Turner; three brothers, Charles Turner, Horace Turner and Arleigh Turner and a sister, Opal Turner Skelton.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Druen Turner; a son, Bradford D. Turner and his fur buddy, Benjie.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. (ET), Monday, April 17, at Pikeview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Talley officiating.

Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of the arrangements.
