Floyd “Frog” Skaggs, age 76, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, October 20, 2025, at his residence.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter, Frog was a race car driver for many years, he enjoyed ginseng hunting and karaoking, one of his favorite things was to go on any road trip.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rucker Skaggs; a daughter, Shannon Burd; his parents, Herman Ray and Effie Mae McNear Skaggs; two brothers, Raymond and James Skaggs; two sisters, Joyce Dones and Virginia Gill.
He is survived by two sons, Todd (Laurie) Skaggs of Buffalo and Kyle (Heather) Skaggs of Upton; four daughters, Brooke (Taylor) Albert of Hodgenville, Taylor (Sam) Dillander of Shepherdsville; Katie Burd of Hodgenville and Casey (Brandon) Burd of Leitchfield; a brother, Donald Wayne “Duck” Skaggs of Hodgenville and a sister, Mary Ann Skaggs of Clarkson; eight grandchildren, Ashley Huckleby, Leah Martin, Jastyn Sweet, Evelyn Skaggs, Kyleigh Skaggs, Levi Skaggs, Ethan Goodman and Landon Turner; 10 great grandchildren, Grayson Purvis, Bryleigh Purvis, Addison Huckleby, Mason Huckleby, Madeline Martin, Wade Albert, Tagan Albert, Liam Milliner, Gannon Burd and Tatum Dillander; a good friend, Thomas Jackson and his four legged companion Duke.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow along side his wife in Salem Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
