Exie Alpha Scott Elliott

Exie Alpha Scott Elliott, age 95, of Hodgenville, passed away, at Tender Touch Heart and Home Assisted Living in Elizabethtown, Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she taught different ages of Sunday School through the years and served the church in many other capacities.   She loved quilting, sewing, gardening, and cooking; was a former member of South Fork Homemakers. Mrs. Elliott was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

Exie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Elliott; a daughter, Carolyn Elliott Pruitt; her parents, Lee and Clara Whitlow Scott; two sisters, Verna Scott and Daisey Buchanan; three brothers, Marson Scott, David Scott, and Elvis Lee Scott.

She is survived by her children; Marilyn (Bill) Locklier of Hodgenville, Shirley (Steve) Skaggs of Hodgenville, and Larry (Karen) Elliott of Buffalo; grandchildren Mark (Sonya) Pruitt of Elizabethtown, Monica (Mike) Wiseman of Hodgenville, Matthew (Melissa) Skaggs of Lexington, Lee Locklier of Austin, Texas, Christopher (Lauren) Locklier of San Antonio, Texas, Denver (Megan) Elliott of Buffalo, Jeremy (Melanie) Bennett of Louisville, Emily (Billy) Cunningham, of Lawrenceburg, Jaylen Elliott, of Buffalo; along with 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a sisters, Linvia Gibson of Jeffersonville, Indiana.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, at Bennett - Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Steven Skaggs and Rev. David Fortner officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Buffalo.   

Visitation will be  4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
