Elva (Graham) DeSpain

Elva DeSpain, age 83, of Mt. Sherman, a native of Green County, passed away, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center.

She retired from Union Underwear after over 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.

Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis DeSpain; her parents Miles Lee and Gracie Lee Skaggs Graham; five sisters, Bertha Brown, Dorothie Howell, Juanita Wells, Gerldine Nelson and Dorline Thompson and four brothers, James, Luther, Bill and Virgle Graham.

She is survived by fours sons, Gilbert (Janet) Graham of Summersville, Delbert (Sherry) Graham of Mt. Sherman, Michael (Carla) Graham of Sonora and Billy DeSpain of Mt. Sherman; special friends, Johnny and Nancy Heath of Magnolia; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (ET), Tuesday, December 27, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville  with Bro. Troy Benningfield officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Sherman Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. (ET), Monday and after 9 a.m. (ET), Tuesday at the funeral home.
