Edwina Hutcherson

Edwina Hutcherson, age 99, of Buffalo, passed away, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bro. Delmer Rice, pastor of Buffalo Baptist Church from 1967 to 1973; her second husband, John Bennett; her parents, Jamie Harrison Paris and Gladys Cloe Ross Paris; a sister, Verla Mae Paris Hodge; a brother, Eddie Jerome Paris; a son-in-law, Lamar Liles; a step-daughter, Janet Marcum and a step-son, Ronald E. Hutcherson.

Edwina is survived by her husband, Eugene Hutcherson; two daughters, Jan Liles of Ruskin, Florida and Kimberly (Richard) Osburn of Lexington; two sons, Gary (Sonya) Rice of Johnson City, Tennessee and Glen (Peggy) Rice of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren, Richard Liles, Todd Rice, Tonya Hinkle, Tara Rice, Tiffany Spratt, Teri Lynn Dandy, Karen Ward, Ashley Greenfield, Amanda Owen, Arynn Rogers and Ryan Greenfield; 10 great-grandchildren, Nicole Liles, Tayler O’Brien, Baxter Rice, Oliva Hinkle, Keegan Spratt, Kayleigh Spratt, Myles Dandy, Tenley Ward, Adley Ward and Caselyn Ward and three step-children; Patricia Ann Sadler, Marie Puckett and Eugenia Mills.  

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 26, at Buffalo Baptist Church with Bros. Larry Vance, Odell Beauchamp and David Waddle officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

The family requests that all visitors wear a mask.
