Edward "Ed" Earl Lewis

Edward ‘Ed” Earl Lewis, age 79, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.  

He is preceded in death by a son, Todd Edward Lewis; his “Pap”, Archie Earl Friend; his parents, S.C. Lewis and Juanita Friend Higgins and a brother, Craig Higgins.

Ed is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Lewis; four children, Donna (Trent) Snyder and Troy (Sarah) Lewis, all of Lexington and Christy (Wes) Waddle and  Travis (Crystal) Lewis, all of Hodgenville; a brother, Larry (Sally) Lewis of Hodgenville and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ed’s pallbearers will be Travis Lewis, Wes Waddle, Tristan Waddle, Hayden Waddle, Rhett Higgins and Cory Engle.  Honorary pallbearers will include Brady Waddle, Trenton Lewis and Case Samuels.
