Donnie Fulkerson

Donnie Fulkerson, age 62, of Sonora, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin.

He recently retired from Lowes after 28 years of service and was an avid golfer and Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; William L. and Evelyn Hayes Fulkerson; a brother, Tommy Fulkerson and two nephews, Jeff Fulkerson and Thad Lee Fulkerson.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Hester Tharp Fulkerson; a son, Joe Dale (Alley) Fulkerson of Rineyville; four sisters, Betty (Mike) Walters, Judy (Mike) Waugh and Becky (Mark) Vertrees, all of Upton and Lisa (Brad) Patterson of Sonora; three brothers, Kenny (Rita) Fulkerson of Sonora and Larry (Roslyn) Fulkerson and Ronnie (Angela) Fulkerson, all of Upton; two grandchildren, Jesse Fulkerson and Logan Fulkerson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 21, at 11 AM at Bennet-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Billy Curle officiating.  Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
