Derek Thomas Whitlock

Derek Thomas Whitlock, age 43, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 11, 2024, of natural causes.

He loved nature, his animals and all of his family. Derek made a profession of faith at 9 years old at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, he enjoyed landscaping and lawn care work for over 25 years, was a skateboarding enthusiast in his younger years and was well known for this as well as his love of woodworking.

Derek is survived by his parents, Tommy and June Whitlock; two sisters, Holly (Mark) Legaspi and Natalie (Jamie) Tracy; two nieces, Ava Legaspi and Peyton Tracy; two nephews, Max Legaspi and Wells Tracy and many extended family members.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Billy Whitlock officiating.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
