David Carl “D.C.” Marcum, age 85, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
He was owner and operator of D.C. Marcum Back-Hoe Company and a member of Hodgenville Pentecostal Church.
D.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Marcum; his parents, Robert Marcum and Virginia Miller Marcum Bell; two brothers, Hardin and Pete Marcum.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Donnie) Hawks of Hodgenville; three grandsons, Junior (Pam) Riggs, Kelly (Sara) Riggs and Jeremy (Tammy) Hawks; two brothers, Donald (Carol) Marcum and James Harold Marcum all of Hodgenville; a sister, Lynnie Allen; 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, at the Hodgenville Pentecostal Church, Bro. David Webb and Bro. James Suits officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Junior Riggs, Kelly Riggs, Jeremy Hawks, Ethan Riggs, Josh Riggs and Tristian Riggs.
