David Chester Nichols, age 72, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence.
He was a passionate woodworker and had many projects he enjoyed making for people such as jewelry boxes and coffee tables. He loved his dogs and tractors and enjoyed helping everyone with whatever was needed. Most of all he loved his family.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lawrence and Matilda Reed Nichols; two sisters, Velma Wells and Christine Smith and four brothers, W.L. Nichols, Roger Nichols, Ralph Nichols and Jesse Ray Nichols.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Carter Nichols; three sisters, Carolyn Beville, Wanda Richards, Rita Garrett and two brothers, Damon Nichols and John Nichols as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
