David Larry Herdt

David Larry Herdt, age 83, of Buffalo, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin.

He retired as a self-employed construction worker and liked to fish and cook.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ester Goldsmith Herdt; four brothers, Charles, Danny, Russell and Donald Herdt; a sister, Shirley Herdt.

He is survived by a daughter, April VanMeter of Vine Grove; two step-daughters, Theresa White of Buffalo and Pamela Sadler of Elizabethtown; a step-son, Wayne (Jeanell) White of Elizabethtown; a sister, Eileen Rogers of Indiana; two grandchildren, Misty Williams and T.J. (Kimberly) Williams; a special nephew, Wesley Priddy; several step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a special “grand-puppy” Winston.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, September 23, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
