Charles Lucas Durham, age 86, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, November 15, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, attended Western Kentucky University, a lifelong farmer, Kentucky Colonel, former employee of L & N Railroad, mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was well known for being the drummer for Joel Ray Sprowls Lincoln Jamboree for 61 years.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Elvin and Mattie Rea Patterson Durham; two brothers, James Patterson “Bull” Durham and John Robert Durham.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Thompson Durham; a daughter, Pam (W.L.) Miller of Magnolia; a son, Pat (Paula) Durham of Hodgenville; four grandchildren, Lesley (Wes) Moore, Jordan (Donovan Justice) Miller, Maria (Lucas) Pepper and Forrest Durham; four great-grandchildren, Charlie, Emma, Lily Moore and Griffin Pepper; a brother, Taylor Durham of Magnolia..
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 18, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro, Daryl Coe, Cale Tharp and Jay Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
