Cevelyn "Gail" Herron

Cevelyn “Gail” Riggs Herron, age 77, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City, FL.

She was a member of Steadfast Baptist Church in Hodgenville and DaySpring Community Church in DeLand, FL and was a former office manager for K-Mart in Elizabethtown.

Gail is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Herron; a daughter, Linda Mae Herron; her parents, Clifford Russell and Ola Jean Tharp Riggs and a half-sister, Lois Roy.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky (Cindy) Herron of Hodgenville and Dennis (Emily) Herron of Daytona Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Sarah (Alex) Pike, Jaide Herron, Sullie (Melissa) Herron and Savannah Herron and seven great-grandchildren,  Donovan Michael Ray Pike, Charlotte May Herron, Charles James Pike, Olivia June Herron, Georgia Rose Herron, Sophia Rose Pike and Jordan Silas Herron.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dennis Herron officiating.  Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.  

Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
