Cecil Earl Mahaney, age 80, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, October 14, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of True way Ministries, enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering in his garage and most of all spending time with his family.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Sybil Parsley Mahaney and two brothers, Gerald and Melvin Mahaney.
He is survived by a daughter, Tabatha (Doug) Metcalf of Hodgenville; a son, Mitch Mahaney of Troy, Ohio; four adopted children, Amanda Barnett, Ashley Avery, Dontae Mahaney, Davon Mahaney; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, Taylor and Xander Metcalf, Taleah Barnett, Karson and Keegan Mahaney; two great grandchildren, Keaton Martin and Lucy Richardson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 17, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Randy Buckles officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideons international.
