Carlene Paysen, age 76, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 20, 2021, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her family.
She gave her life to Christ at Knox’s Creek Baptist Church and was baptized in the Green River at an early age.
Carlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alvin Paysen and her parents, Carl and Grace Reynolds Taylor.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathi Underwood and Allison (Monce Hill) Paysen, both of Hodgenville; a son, Steve (Julia) Paysen of Toccoa, Georgia; four sisters, Fran (Harold) Ard of Portland, Oregon, Rachel (Michael) Reed of Winchester, Lynn Cook of Cecilia and Vanessa (Paula) Taylor of Louisville; a brother, Jay Taylor of Magnolia; 14 grandchildren, Amanda (Acie) Dupin, Staci Aubrey, Jeremy (Tiffany) Tucker, Matthew (McKenzie) Underwood, Tesha (Travis) Brock, Terell Paysen, Joey (Erica) Henshaw, Jay (Bethany) Henshaw, Shelby (Kyle) Chandler, Jordan (Micah) Childs, Andrew Paysen, Josh Henshaw, Eli Paysen and James Paysen and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. (ET) Thursday, December 23, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Steve Paysen officiating. Burial will be in the Roselane Cemetery in Georgia.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. (ET) Wednesday and after 9 a.m. (ET) Thursday at the funeral Home.
