C.E. Read Obituary
Charles Elbert “C.E.” Read, age 69, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at his residence.
An Army veteran, he was a Graduate of LaRue County High School, Class of 1970 and attended the University of Louisville. He enjoyed cats, kayaking, fixing up vintage cars and trucks and authored 3 books, “The Demon’s Waltz” Trilogy.
C.E. was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Emery and Marilyn Brown Read and a brother Tim Read.
He is survived by a sister, Nancy Read (James “Rusty) Roby; two nephews, Tony (Carrie) Roby and Jeremy Roby; a great-nephew, Colston Roby and three great-nieces, Alexa, Annahlise and Chloe Roby.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 26, at Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
