Bruce W. Arnette, age 58, of Sonora, passed away, Saturday, November 12, 2022, in Munfordville on his farm doing exactly what he loved to do.
He was born on January 28th, 1964, to Maceo Sr. and Carrie Arnette. Bruce was the owner and CEO of The Life Connection in Sonora, Kentucky, where he has been employed since about 1995, was a member of First Baptist Church Hodgenville, a 1986 graduate of Murray State University, where he played college football for four years and was a part of the 1986 OVC championship team. Bruce has been a football and baseball coach for the last 16 years for LaRue County Sports and mentored many along the way. His passion in life was for all kids to succeed and be the best they could at whatever they chose in life. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and a true football and baseball fan.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Maceo W. Arnette Sr. and Carrie Andrews Arnette and a sister, Rosalind Arnette.
He is survived by his loving wife who he cherished so dearly, Sheila Hogue Arnette; three daughters, Brianna Felker of North Carolina, Kyrstan (Aaron) Heath of Mt. Sherman and Airyl (Matheo) Heath of Hodgenville; two sons, Bryson Arnette of Sonora and Ryan (Magen) Heath of Upton; a brother, Maceo (Tammy) Arnette Jr. of Elizabethtown; a sister, Russelyn Lee of Vine Grove; a G-Pop to two precious grandchildren Braydon and Taytum Heath; three nieces, Ashley (Darrell) Singleton, Taryn Shipp and Makayla Arnette; three nephews, Austin (Alexandra) Barnett, Corey Lee and Xavier Arnette; two great-nieces, Jade and Maci Singleton; two great-nephews, Brayden Singleton and Theo Barnett.
One of Bruce’s favorite quotes was “ Hakuna Matata” means no worries.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Thursday, November 17, at First Baptist Church Hodgenville, 404 S. Lincoln Blvd. with Elder Jerry Wilkerson and Minister Carl Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 to 8 pm Wednesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and after 9 am Thursday at the church.
