Brian Wicker Sprowles, age 49, of Shepherdsville, formerly of
Buffalo, passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his residence.
He was a 1992 graduate of LaRue County High School, former employee of LaRue County Parks and Recreation and the Lincoln Jamboree, former member of Wesley Meadows Methodist Church.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Donald Sprowles in 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Holloway Sprowles; his mother, Nancy Sprowles of Buffalo; a sister, Paula Wood of Horse Cave; a brother, Greg (Beth) Sprowles of Elizabethtown; a step-son, Michael (Betty Fay) Holmes of Shepherdsville; a step-daughter, Tiffany Mims of Radcliff; a niece, Madison Wood; a nephew, Zachary (Lee Ann) Wood; a great-nephew, Rhett Wood and nine step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 20, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, his nephew, Bro. Zachary Wood will officiate. Burial will follow in Highview Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Holmes, Mark Holloway, Timmy Sidebottom, Keith Sidebottom, Michaels Burress and Justin Holt.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to Gideons International, LaRue County Saddle Club or the LaRue County High School Basketball program where Brian served as team manager for more than 20 years. All donations can be made at the funeral home.
