Augusta Jane McDowell Hall, age 89, of Loyall, a native of LaRue County, passed away, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She was the owner of Janes Custom Sewing, where she made clothes, gowns and uniforms in Harlan County; Jane loved the Lord and taught children’s Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Loyall.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Ray Hall; her parents, David John and Mamie Miller McDowell; eight siblings, Walter, Ethel, Russell, Ruth, Roy, Elsie, Charlie, and Mary Ruby.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Ken) McClung; three sons, Greg (Lara) Hall, Gary (Regina) Hall and Steven (Sherry) Hall; seven grandchildren, Caleb (Emilee Moore) Hall, Cody Hall, Bradley (Shining-Song) Hall, Casey Hall, Christy (Gennard) Lombardozzi, Matthew McClung, Jonathan (Frannie Mather) Hall; two great-grandchildren, Mable and Oscar Lombardozzi.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, July 6, at Parkway Baptist Church in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11am to 1 pm Tuesday at the church.
