Arbodella "Della" Ward Wood

Arbordella “Della” Ward  Wood, age 78, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was a loving and dedicated Employee of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home for over 40 years a member of South Fork Baptist Church, she loved to shop especially for antiques, loved the color red and was adamant that her hair be done twice a week.

Della was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Wood; a son, Terry Beams; her parents, Eura and Genrose Nunn Ward.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Wright of Nashville and Tammy (Aaron) Gibson of Leitchfield; a son, Barry Beams; a step-son, Jay (Joey) Wood of Magnolia; six grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan and Daniel Wright, Danielle Evans, Andrew and Cameron Beams; two great-grandchildren, Charloette and Chase Wright; a sister, Kathy Ward.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
