Anna Mae Dye Miller, age 85, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
She was of the Baptist faith and had strong Christian values. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1998 as a rural mail carrier after 30 years of service. When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, Anna Mae loved to garden and “doctor” her plants and flowers. She was also an avid UK basketball fan, cheering and coaching from her living room during every game.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Don Miller; her parents, Byron and Lillian Talley Dye; a sister, Frances Close; a brother, Colon Dye and an infant brother, James Lowell Dye.
She is survived by her three children, Cindy (Jeff) Heady, Susie (Dale) Keith and W.L. (Pam) Miller; her seven grandchildren, Emily (Josh) Morris, Ellen (Bryan) Shelton, Erin (Ryan) Bratcher, Jennifer (Scott) Bernard, Jaime (Ryan) Price, Lesley (Wes) Moore and Jordan (Donovan Justice) Miller; fourteen great-grandchildren, Riley and Hadley Morris; Ellie, Addie and Kaylie Shelton; Hunter and Bailey Bratcher; Luke and Brock Bernard; Sullivan and Sawyer Price and Charlie, Lily and Emma Moore; her sister, Kathleen Chelf and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her family, she is survived by several close friends and Anna Mae was especially grateful for the company and friendship of Norman Cox.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Tuesday, February 27, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. (ET), at the funeral home.
