James Allan Jackson, age 73, of Magnolia, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church; retired from ECTC as an Instructor of Machine Tool Technology after many years of service; was a Master Plumber, Mechanical Engineer and a lifelong farmer. Allan grew up on a bulldozer and loved to fly his airplane.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chris Jackson; his parents, James A. and Ethel Whitlow Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Nicole Leigh Jackson and his father and mother-in-law, Omer and Vivian Gibson Caven.
Allan is survived by his wife, Gayle Jackson; a son, Marcus Jackson; an “adopted daughter”, Nancy Wheeler; four grandchildren, Joshua (Leah) Cecil, Kirsta (Kenny) Albert, Kristian Lucas and Marc-Allan Jackson; three sisters, Patricia (Bailey) Binford, Kay (C.D.) Gentry and Charlotte (Randy) Caven and five great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (ET), Sunday, April 3, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Tommy Turner and Rev. James Crim officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 12 noon, Sunday at the funeral home.
