Sue Thomas (Elmore) Reed

Sue Thomas Elmore Reed, age 88, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in her home in Hodgenville, KY.

Sue was a long time member of Buffalo Baptist Church and was retired from Lincoln National Bank, where she served the community for 29 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Reed to whom she was married for 55 years, a sister, Mary Katherine Billeter; a brother, Jimmy Elmore and her parents Alvin and Lela Elmore.

Sue is survived by one son, John Mark Reed of Hodgenville; her sister June (Frank) Thornberry Raine of Elizabethtown and her brother William Owen (Liz) Elmore of Athens, OH; granddaughters, Jennifer (Michael) Coogle of Elizabethtown and Jacqueline Reed of Lexington; grandsons, Jeremy (Andrea) Reed and James Reed of Lexington; four great-grandchildren, Peyson, Ellie, Lauren and Alexis; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Tim Shockley and Mr. Glen Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM, Friday and after 10 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.
