Samuel "Doug" Swihart, Jr. Obituary

Samuel Douglas Swihart, Jr., age 79 years, of Campbellsville, formerly of Chicago, passed away, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at his residence.

He was the former owner and operator of a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Illinois and a Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel D. Swihart, Sr. and Margaret Jean Alderson Swihart.

He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Helga Swihart; a daughter, Mary (Byron) Fetter of Missouri; a step-daughter, Marion (Ken) Ross of Illinois; a brother, Michael (Judy) Swihart of Creal; three grandchildren, Mason, Cally and Ethan and a niece, Nicole Swihart.

Per the family’s wishes, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
