Richard H. Lawson, age 88, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, March 12, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
He retired from International Harvester in Louisville after 36 years of service, was co-owner and operator of Lawson’s Flowers for 26 years and was a member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harce and Cora Hart Lawson; his in-laws, Henry and Pearl Richards and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Lawson.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Richards Lawson; two sons, Joey Lawson of Elizabethtown and Jerry (Kelly) Lawson of Hodgenville; a brother, Garland Lawson of Big Clifty; three grandchildren, Christopher Scott (Courtney Ray) Lawson, Adam (Samantha) Lawson and Lauren Lawson and two great-grandchildren, Carter & Sophie Lawson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Ray Pack and Bro. John Bore officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM, Wednesday and after 11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.
