William Marshall Brown, age 70 years, of Sonora, passed away, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence.
He was a custodian at J.T. Alton Middle School in Vine Grove, carpenter, farmer and an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Howard and Loretta Virginia Mae Gonterman Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Anna McCorkle Brown; a son, William Joseph “Jody” (Sherry Baize) Brown of Sonora; two grandchildren, William Travis Brown and Courtney Lynn Brown; three sisters, Ada (Richard) Sandfer of Sonora, Linda Sullivan of Hodgenville and Dorothy Brown of Elizabethtown; a brother, Ronald (Mary) Brown of Sonora; sister-in-law, Ella (Gary) Edwards of Hodgenville and two brothers-in-law, William (Ellie Jenkins) McCorkle of Buffalo and Dewayne (Wendy) Tingle of Bonnieville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dean Morris officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday and after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
