Kathryn Jones

Kathryn Jones, age 94, of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

She was a member of the Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church near Hodgenville where she formerly taught Sunday School; was a housewife and a former member of the Tonieville Homemakers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Jones in 1998; a son, Jackie R. Jones, Sr. in 2007; her parents, James Virgil and Mary Belle Forbis Asbury; two brothers, Raymond and Virgil Asbury and three sisters, Vera Thompson, Violet Bastin and Norma Jewell.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Durred) Gardner and Mary Lynn (Bennie D.) Warren, all of Hodgenville; a son, Jimmy (June) Jones of Hodgenville; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Jones of Hodgenville; ten grandchildren, Cathy (Alex) Smith, Sue Hines, Kenny (Theresa) Gardner, Johnny (Becky) Sidebottom, Janet (Dale) Peppers, Jack (Jenny) Jones, Jr., Joe (Jennie) Jones, Jeremy (Tiffany) Jones, Bow (Jamie) Warren and Cody (Adryanne) Warren; 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church with Bro. Dwayne Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in the Whickerville Cemetery near Monroe.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM, Friday and after 9 AM, Saturday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
