James Edward Miles, age 54, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, April 27, 2018, at his residence.
An Army veteran, he was a member of Gospel of Grace Baptist Church and a 21-year employee of Metalsa in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Blackwell Miles.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha A. Miles; his father, James L. “Jim” Miles of Hodgenville; two sons, Timothy Lee Miles and Tyler Lee Miles both of Hodgenville; three step-children, Thomas B. (Windi) Ashley of North Carolina, Thad Lee Ashley of Georgia and John W. Doughty II of Virginia; a sister, Laura Porter of Indiana; a brother, Chris (Jennifer) Miles of Winchester; five grandchildren, Cedric D. Barker, Teagan Ashley, Baby Mac Ashley, John W. Doughty III and Mason R. Doughty and four nieces and nephews, Whitney (Bryan) Schmitt, J. Tyler Miles, Courtney Miles and Rebekah Miles.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Gospel of Grace Baptist Church in Hodgenville with Bro. Davey Graham officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM, Friday, May 4, 2018, at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 4 PM Tuesday at the church.
