Herbie Stephens

Herbie Stephens, age 82, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

He was a retired brick layer, member of Union Band Baptist Church and an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carrie Lacey Stephens, four sisters, Christine Ross, Hazel Lovett, Tuxxie Tuttle and Myrtle Reed and five brothers, Leonard, Joe, James, Nolin and Willie Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Warren Stephens; two sisters, Catherine Canady and Betty Brooks both of Charleston, South Carolina; a special niece, Carrie Stephens and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Warren Traylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in White City.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM today and after 9 AM tomorrow at the funeral home until time for services.
