Barbara Jean (Olson) Schorz

Barbara Jean Schorz, age 87 years, of Howardstown, formerly of Louisville, passed away, Friday, May 18, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was a former stewardess for United Airlines, a proud Navy wife and homemaker, who volunteered with children with disabilities for many years and a member of St. Peter Episcopal Church in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Henry Schorz, three infant children, her parents, David and Clara Duggan Olson and a sister, Gloria Pauly.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa (William) Lyons of Howardstown; a son, John Schorz of Howardstown; a grandson, Willie Lyons of Howardstown and a brother, John Olson of Minnesota.

A time of visitation and remembering will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.  Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
