Ann Berkley “Rooney” Gray, age 67, of Hodgenville, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She was a retired kindergarten teacher at Buffalo Elementary School, owner, operator and chocolatier of Mam Candy in Hodgenville and a member of the Hodgenville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Boardman Mark.
Rooney is survived by her husband of forty-five years, John Gray; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Paul) Cooper of Hodgenville and Kathryn (Daniel) Gray Tabb of Elizabethtown; her mother, Mary “Mur” Mark of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Asher Tabb, Caroline Tabb, Henry Cooper, Elizabeth Tabb and Charlotte Tabb and a sister, Francie Prier of Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, January 25, at Hodgenville United Methodist Church, 825 Tonieville Rd., Hodgenville, with Rev. Bruce Hiner officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 AM, Saturday at the church.
