Cremation: If you are considering cremation, we encourage you to talk with one of our directors. Many people believe that choosing cremation limits their options. However, with cremation you have unlimited number of service and merchandise choices available.

Many people choose to have a visitation and funeral service preceding cremation. Others choose to have a memorial service following the cremation either in the funeral home, church, or other facility and some choose direct cremation with no services. As you can see the options are numerous. Whatever your desire, we stand ready to assist you with your decision.

Pre-Arranging:

Your funeral is probably the last thing you want to think about. But if you don’t take the time to consider your arrangements, someone you love will be forced to face these difficult decisions later.

How does a prearrangement help me?

  • It lets your wishes be known. Your family won’t have to guess what you want, they will know.
  • It can lock in todays prices, eliminating the worry of inflation.
  • It gives you peace of mind, knowing that if something does happen, your funeral is taken care of.
  • It lets you personalize your funeral service.
  • It relieves you and your family from future financial burdens. There are many options that securely fund a prearrangement.
  • It can help shield the funds for your funeral service, in case you are entering a Nursing Home.

You have many options with a pre-planned service, you may select all of the merchandise and fully fund it, just select the merchandise, just add funds or simply have your wishes be known.

Funded Services:

For funded services there are three main options; Insurance, Trust Fund or Bank CD’s.

Insurance: We offer many types of insurance policies because one policy is not the best type for every person.
Some of the benefits they offer are:

  • Decedent protection, which covers your children and grandchildren who are under 21
  • Guaranteed insurability, for those who may be turned down by other companies
  • Interest bearing accounts to combat inflation

Trust Fund: We use the Funeral Funding Trust of Kentucky for most of our trust accounts. Funeral Funding is a locally operated company that gives a better rate of return on your investment than most CD’s, the interest is also compounded monthly. Most CD’s are compounded either every three months or once a year. Compounding lets you gain interest on previously earned interest.

CD’s: We can help you set up a CD account at your bank that is specifically set aside to fund your funeral service. Because most of these accounts are irrevocable, meaning that they cannot be cashed in, they can be longer term CD’s, gaining better interest rates.
