Robert Michael "Coach" Brown, age 65, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was a retired coach and educator for the LaRue County School System; a member of the Elizabethtown Church of Christ, the LaRue County Sportsman Lake, where he loved fishing and playing cards and the Kentucky Coaches Association. Coach Brown loved all outdoor sports, especially football and golf.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" and Mary Ruth Martin Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Rodehaver Boster Brown; a daughter, Maria Boster of Buffalo; a son, Bob (Tonya) Boster of Hodgenville; a sister, Polly (Jim) Sparks of Glasgow; his step-mother, Ruth Ann Brown of Hodgenville; a step-sister, Kathy (Gary) Clements of Louisville; a step-brother, Mike (Anita) Cruse of Hodgenville; five grandchildren, Brittany (Jay) Lucas, Robert Absher, Zachary Absher, Arabella Boster and Aiden Boster and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, 730 Tonieville Road, Hodgenville, KY, with Rev. DeWayne Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 PM, Monday and from 9 AM, to 12:30 PM, Tuesday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
